Hello , I have made a purchase online with my virtual card and and then I received a message from the merchant:

"A credit for the amount of $192.99 has been applied to your credit card".

Please tell me what it means. Does it mean the merachant did a chargeback and returned the funds? thank you.

I cancelled the account with the merchant and I hoped its a refund ? As far as i know credit can also mean a refund , right? thank you
