Default Chargeback costs

As a merchant or an online shop owner, how much does it cost you to process a chargeback request? I heard you have to pay the corresponding fee aside from refunding the required amount.

I don't know the answer to this, probably depends on the merchant you are using really. Just read the TOS of the merchant you are using, should be highlighted in there somewhere!

I think if you do a charge back then they will not have the option for you to be charged. They can tell you to return the item then the rest is up to them..

Wouldn't it matter more on the credit card processing company, then the actual credit card company?

Thats right to some extent but credit card company might also implement some charges other than the charges implemented by the actual credit card company (Like Visa).
