Thread: Claim or Dispute?

Will anybody explain the difference between PayPal Claim and Dispute. I'm about to file a chargeback complain against a guy and not sure about these terms.

I think what you are looking for is the dispute first, then it turns into a claim later. Not really sure on this one though! Somebody will correct me if i'm wrong!

First you open the dispute...

Then if you are not satisfied as to how the seller is handling the dispute then you escalate it to a claim and have paypal figure out what to do...

I brought an ebook for $1 and paid by paypal. The guy I paid didn't send me the links. What should I do? Should I dispute or just leave it?

You should dispute it, obviously the guy has done this to a lot of people because most people won't complain about a dollar!
