Thread: Delivery mix up

My friend signed up for a meal delivery service. The first part was delivered with no problems. The second box was frozen food, and she was told someone would call when they got to her apartment. (Entry is restricted.) It turns out that someone let them in and they left the box in the foyer, where she found it two days later!

They did refund her cash, but the moral is to be sure your contracted services are monitored, to avoid this kind of situation.

That's a good point. I wonder where the buck stops in this kind of situation. If the customer hadn't been refunded and had made a chargeback, would the food company have to then ask the delivery people for compensation?

Maybe they would, but personally I couldn't care less. It's their responsibility to make the customer happy. Contracting a shoddy delivery company is stupid, espcially as this is a key point in their business strategy.
