Thread: Can somebody please help with this very interesting situation with Alertpay?

Hi everybody,
Recently I paid around 100$(through credit card from alertpay) to a guy for some services.He did his work fine and I respect him for that and I'm sure that he is not a scammer.But now that guy needs my help.He told that he's been scammed 90$ by somebody else and he now has less than 10$ in his alertpay account.He is reluctant to open a dispute with alertpay as he thinks that the scammer will win the case.Instead he's asked me to file a chargeback with my credit card issuer regarding the 100$ that I paid him.He thinks that this way 100$ will be credited to my cc by alertpay and then I can transfer the rest of the money to him.Is this even possible?Wont alertpay first deduct 100$ from some account and then credit my cc?

I don't know if it is possible on Alertpay, but it works on you cc, you contact your cc issuer for a chargeback, maybe they will ask you provide some reason ( for example , service not rendered ), then your bank will ask that guy provide counter material ( that guy will ingnore it, coz he hopes you win -) ) , then 60 days later, you will get the money back, it's your choice whether you will transfer the money to that poor guy -(
