    Friendly Fraud

I was reading on friendly fraud. It said that in order to combat friendly fraud one company has developed pre-paid cards for different stores. How are these pre-paid cards supposed to combat this type of fraud? I am afraid I donít understand.

I'm guessing that if someone got ahold of that credit card information, at least they would only be able to spend it at the one store, and if you haven't pre-paid an awful lot of money into it, then they can't spend all that much, either. It may not prevent, but make it less painful, I imagine.

That would help on the consumer end, which is good, but I don't see how it helps the merchant, who would still end up with a chargeback fee and mark on their record.
