Thread: Could this mean the end of chargebacks?

I just read quite a long article about Payer Authentication systems. I didn't realise that all cards are covered by the provider, even if the user isn't enrolled. Trouble is getting merchants to sign up is slow going. I think it's really worth it, especially as some companies are offering incentives.

I have never heard about Payer Authentication systems. How does it work, and could it mean the end of chargebacks? Could you elaborate it more or provide the link to the article?
