    Would you order a refund?

    Suppose you purchased an item online and the shipping delayed, would you order a refund? I am normally the patient type so I would give this a day or two.

    I think it is important that online stores set good customer expectations.

    I personally would give them 72 hours to "dispatch" the item, then it is in the postal services hands. The reason I would give 72 hours is because they might not be available during a weekend and bank holiday weekends and might not be able to deal with things swiftly if they are ordered at a time when business is busy (such as in the approach to christmas)

    I wouldn't care unless it took them really long to ship my merchandise. Come to think of it, I might refund it; if I was iffy about the merchandise or it was an impulse purchase.

    Karma comes into play here for me. Presuming there was a legitimate reason for the delay, (airports close for weather issues, people strike etc), I would be a little patient. Once shipped there is little a seller can do, and I have been in this situation myself. (With other posted items such as birthday presents.)

    I think it depends on the seller, if they communicate well and explain why it isn't sent then I will give them longer, but if I don't hear anything then I get worried. If I am ordering from a seller I trust I also give them longer
