Thread: How do you check out a purchaser?

I know that for most online businesses checking out a potential buyer is who they say they are is crucial, and should offer some protection against avoiding chargebacks based on stolen card purchases. So which companies do you rate as reliable providers for this service?

That is one excellent resource and should be stickied if possible. I am going to bookmark it and pass it on to as many people as possible. It's a sad state of affairs that many assume banks are on the side of the consumer - we know that many do less than enough for the merchant - but reading an article on the site reminds me that they are just another business looking to make a profit.
