Thread: Unfair Billing, Need chargeback assistance!

So recently, I got "fined" by 1shoppingcart.com for $500, when in reality they have no law or authority to go out in the blue and just bill my credit card for half a grand.

I was told I should file a chargeback because I did NOT authorize this transaction, and they are just a business like anyone else, they can't enforce B.S rules.

What happened was I purchased a mailing subscription and someone automatically added users into the database from an email list he had gotten people opted in from another service.

So basically, I get fined for "using an automated script to add users into the database" apparently I agreed to it when signed up, but still do they have the right to bill me $500?

Im sure I can just file a chargeback, correct?

Certainly. Contact your card issuer.

Did you present your card to the merchant (for card reading)? If no, they will lose once you file chargeback. They can't PROVE that they have SWIPED your card.
