Thread: Chargeback Insurance???

We are an online retailer and currently experience a very low (under 1%) chargeback rate. But occasionally we see orders come through that look suspicious to us and that we would like to manually verify via an online interface. So what we are really looking for is chargeback insurance on a case by case basis. We’d like to log in, run the transaction and if we get a “Thumbs Up” know that that transaction would be reimbursed if it became a chargeback. We are not opposed to a complete fraud protection system if the price were reasonable, but we would like to do it selectively.

Does anyone know of companies that do this?

preCharge is the only one out there like that, has been for almost ten years. You can use Verified by Visa and secure code as an alternative but those are very limited. Have you tried calling preCharge?

I use precharge for three years, they are not insurance. They only cover things like scammers and consumers trying to pull a fast one, if your package is damaged, don't expect to be covered.

Merchant Lifeline only covers friendly fraud, correct? Certainly helpful but not sure if it meets the needs of the OP. also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you get hacked recently?
