For example.
Some fraud web sites will ask for your e-gold account number and password when you attempt to buy from them, they word it differently, so it seems like part of the transaction.
People that are unfamiliar with e-gold just follow the directions and give them their password.
Also, what happens sometimes is you get an e-mail asking you to go to a web page and confirm your password, but the site only looks like e-gold, that's what tommy mentioned, don't get phished.
