If you are concerned about getting spammed, then my suggestion would be to set up an email address used only for directory submissions - that way you don't clog up your real email address if you get unlucky.
I haven't had too much trouble with spam from directory submissions - the occasional nag to upgrade to a paid listing, but thats all. |
