Since fraud is the hottest dirty secret right now, merchant accounts should have a fraud protection technique to protect both parties. I have found useful technique that merchants can adopt.
If the merchant’s web server is connected, credit numbers should not be entered. Enter only if disconnected and if directly connected to the payment gateway. This lessens the chances of credit numbers being lost by the merchant. Thus, reducing the risk of merchant's liability to customers and at the same time providing security to customers. |
