That is really unlucky. I wouldn't call adsense a scam in any way though.
Whenever they ban someone, usually there is a valid reason behind it. If not, you are usually able to reverse the decision through contacting their support staff.
How did your friend know that someone clicked on his ads twice on purpose anyway?
