Hey All,

I have recently been evaluating several different HTML editors, and I was wondering what people liked and why they liked it. For years I have preferred using Frontpage as my tool of choice, but 2000 wasn't much better than 98, and I haven't tried 2002 yet.... anyway FP98 was really a great editor, but lacked some features.

For a time I used Visual Interdev to do all the .ASP's and what not, it had some wonderful features (like code completion!) but due to security reasons the extensions were ripped off the server and so I couldn't author effectively with it anymore. Not to mention I using the beta of Visual Studio .NET. I haven't played too much with it's HTML editor, but it appears to be a beefed up interdev type environment....

I recently downloaded an evaluation copy of Name WebEditor 5 [http://www.namo.com/products/webeditor/] and I was fairly impressed. It had a lot of neat features, like you can change the colors for the syntax highlighting. It unfortunately doesn't deal incredibly well with ASP/PHP tags (it recognizes them, but that's it). It also doesn't have code completion, which is really nice for an environment you don't use all day everyday.

Anyway, I am out there looking for good HTML editors.......
