I'm quite concerned about how the Paypal chargeback system works. It seems that the customer can wait a very long time to start the chargeback process, then the seller only has a few days to defend. Paypal sometimes just honour the chargeback, or lock funds in the paypal accont, then leave the seller to sort it out.

Is there any way to protect against this? The thought of having funds locked without warning is quite scary to me.
