I can tell you first hand that I’ve dealt with the owner of egold on several occasions. A bit abrasive but otherwise a nice guy.
In terms of your questions, it seems there is a lot of confusion about e-Gold. Please understand that e-gold itself is not a third party biller like paypal or 2checkout. In fact, they don’t deal with payments at all. They are a platform, much like the NYSE or the NASDAQ, it’s the members themselves that trade items in their accounts.
In terms of what they offer, they don’t offer anything. You have to go through third party vendors to find various solutions. Please see
