If these debt collectors have documents saying your husband owned this mobile phone then they will have bills with his name on it, ask them to give you copies.

You say that they have the wrong address, Is the letter headed with the wrong address, or have you moved ?

It sounds like you have proof that they have the wrong person and if it does go to court, the Judge will listen to his side of the story and find that the debt collectors are in the wrong.

This is very common, I would however try to deal with it with the collectors and explain my side of the story, maybe try writing a letter or make an appointment with the Manager.
