My goods did eventually arrive (including the order I tried to cancel). What I did not realise was they were being posted from China - even though it was a .co.uk website!
Trying to find help the Google Checkout website is almost impossible and when I rang Google they refused to discuss my problems unless I could name someone at Google I wished to speak to.
Eventually, I found the name of the head of Legal Services at Google and left him a message. I got a phone call back as a result.
It was explained that I cannot issue a chargeback via Google and I accept this can only be done via the credit card company.
I have now closed my Google account. It is not acceptable that cookies remain after closing browser window - meaning lother people can access my account! It also unacceptablke that it is too easy to place an order without an extra button asking for confirmation. |
