Do the Google Crawl the CMS database sites?

I'm have a question here, and hope to get some feedback about it...

Currently, one of my friend started his very first ecommerce site, however his site is in the CMS method, which means the contents are all in the database.

My question here, can the google bot or spider ever go into the database? If it can't, then is there any solution or suggestion for the CMS database site?

Any comment will be mostly appreciated

Note: CMS is a short form for "Customer Management Software".

What CMS is he using? Joomla, Mambo, etc.?
Spiders can crawl the site as long as he allows it.

Well, he is a loyal user of Joomla and he have had used it since 3 years ago...

The only matter is, he found that the Google crawler didn't crawl the site as he expected to...

He had changed whatever is need to be done, but the problem still cannot be solved until today.

That's why he want to ask for help here...

What was the problem and how did he solve it?

Nope, his haven't found the best solution for this matter and it's still keep bothering him until today...

Gosh,if only I can help him get rid of this problem...
