Everything I read is pointing to Panama as being the next big place to incorporate offshore, as well as to buy offshore real estate. they are basically at the point Costa Rica was at about 10 years ago when people started snapping up land there.

Some other countries where you can also set up offshore companies are Singapore, Hong Kong, Cyprus, Gibraltar and the Channel Islands.

Offshore is good for the some countries but not for big countries because they need tax system to serve their own people.

Not true st1905, most "offshore" locations collect taxes in other ways and both the USA and Canada have "offshore" type structures, if you are not a citizen of the country.

So basically if you set up your business in these countries you won't need to pay income tax?

No .Essence.,

You do not pay income tax in those countries, but legally, you need to have everything set up correctly to "avoid" paying income tax, or to pay less income tax, in your home country.

If you didn't have everything set up correctly, and didn't pay the legal taxes in your home country, it would then be tax evasion.

It's not as simple as just setting up an offshore company and bank account
