The only real difference in the age of each and respectability. I referred a few people to Alertpay in past only to find out they were not satisfied with service.

I think the basic purpose of both sites is the same, (i.e. payment processing). However Paypal is very reputed name and many people use them. However, ALertpay is new and their user base is less.

Alertpay is more geared toward the individual and doesn't have the same merchant tools that PP has.

Alertpay has improved. Merchants using Alertpay are involved in high risk programs. But Alertpay has been playing its game properly as it has been protecting its account holders from getting scammed. Checkout it out. Alerpay is a popular payment processor by autosurfers.

As most of the people engaged in online transactions are happy and satisfied with the services of pay pay, they didn't want to try new as they fear losses

Alertpay isn't so popular as PayPal is, besides, withdrawal is free for Paypal us accounts, while Alertpay charges $1.00 for withdrawing money.
I don't have an account there because Alertpay isn't a common payment option, so why wasting time with it?

I need to agree that alertpay is not popular like paypal or e-gold. Most people always have paypal account. Its rare to see if many people have alertpay account. But its another chance for us to have alertpay. Who know we really need to have one in future right?
